Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Thinker Things – a specialty toy store

Solana Beach, CA – October 22, 200

The Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its new member Thinker Things. The ceremony will take place at their new store at 943 Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Lomas Santa Fe Plaza in Solana Beach from 4:30pm to 6:00pm on Thursday, October 22, 2009. The Ribbon-Cutting will be followed by giveaways, food and beverages.

Owners, Jane Naisbitt, who has a background in early education as an elementary teacher, and her son, John Naisbitt, opened Thinker Things, a specialty toy store, in Escondido in 1973. In March of 1977, they moved to their current location in Del Mar at the Flower Hill Mall. They are the last of the original tenants. Their customers are loyal and consist of first, second and third generation shoppers.

Jane wants her customers to know that the store is under the same ownership, gives the same great service and has the same phone number – just a different location.

Thinker Things has a variety of events coming up at their new store in Solana Beach.

In October, on Friday the 16th, Duncan Yo Yo, a USA company, will demonstrate their product. With 80 years in the yo yo business, they know their yo yos. Their experts will be on hand to show kids tricks that will amaze their friends. Thinker Things will have Open House on Sunday, November 8th. One of the days’ highlights will be a free concert by Hullabaloo, who are like pied pipers for your children. Throughout the day, there will be games and giveaways.
